Schools Open Day a Success

On Friday November 14 we opened the doors of the Imperial Clinical Research Facility to local sixth form students for the afternoon in order to give them a taste of what a career in clinical research could offer them.

Over 60 students found out what happens in a clinical trial, taking part in hands-on demonstrations of laboratory and screening equipment such as centrifuges, ultrasound machines and electrocardiograms.

Students then met with ICRF staff and researchers as part of our Careers Cafe, where they were able to chat to them about their careers and potential career paths.

The afternoon was organised in partnership with IntoUniversity.
